The remains of Carlo Acutis have rested since April 6, 2019, in the Sanctuary of the Spoliation in St. Mary Major Church in Assisi, inside a sepulchral monument in the right nave. The body, after being transferred from its previous burial in a cemetery, was prepared through preservation techniques to be displayed to the faithful, who come to venerate him in this important place of worship. An Italian boy who died at age fifteen in 2006 becomes the Catholic Church’s first millennial saint. He was canonized over the weekend. This saint from the smartphone generation was known for using technology to spread the faith. We go to his tomb in a hilltop village in Italy.
